Bangladesh Cricket Crisis Deepens, More Resignations Spark Turmoil

Bangladesh (Sports Desk): The ongoing administrative crisis in Bangladesh cricket has intensified, as three more directors have resigned from their positions.

According to reports, Shanian Tanim, Faizur Rahman, and Mehrab Alam Chowdhury announced their resignations after a lengthy meeting, bringing the total number of directors who have stepped down in a short period to six.

Earlier, several other directors had also resigned for various reasons. However, the exact causes behind the latest resignations have not been officially disclosed and are being described as personal decisions.

This situation has emerged at a time when the board leadership is under intense pressure, with allegations related to recent elections, government interference, and administrative issues further complicating matters.

Meanwhile, the board chairman has stated that despite the crisis, he will remain in his position and will be the last person to step down.

It is worth noting that investigations into alleged irregularities in the recent elections have been completed and a report has been submitted to the relevant authorities, while questions continue to be raised over the electoral process.

A former captain had also raised objections to the election process and later withdrew from the presidential race, further escalating the situation.
