Washington (Monitoring Desk): A close adviser to US President Donald Trump has reportedly suggested that the US should declare victory in its ongoing operations against Iran and withdraw its forces.
Media reports indicate that White House technology and artificial intelligence adviser David Sacks advised Trump that instead of escalating the war further, the US should conclude the matter once its objectives are achieved.
David Sacks warned that prolonging the conflict could lead to disastrous consequences, potentially trapping the US in a long and costly war.
It is noted that there are differences within the White House regarding Iran. Some officials advocate continuing military operations to fully weaken Iran’s military capabilities, while other advisers believe the US has already achieved its objectives and should end the conflict. President Donald Trump’s stance is that the war will conclude only when he deems it appropriate.
