Washington (Monitoring Desk) – U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that if allied countries do not assist the United States in keeping the strategic Strait of Hormuz open and secure, NATO’s future could be at risk. In an interview with a British newspaper, Trump said that while the U.S. is currently in contact with Iran, he does not believe Tehran is ready for any agreement. He stated that the U.S. is discussing the Strait of Hormuz issue with about seven countries and is demanding that they play their part in safeguarding this crucial maritime route.
