Jet Fuel Price Hikes by Rs. 46 Per Liter, Airlines Face Growing Challenges

Islamabad (Commerce Desk) – The price of jet fuel has increased by Rs. 46 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs. 388 per liter, placing additional financial pressure on passenger aircraft and commercial airlines.

Sources indicate that ongoing tensions and conflict among Iran, Israel, and the United States have created further challenges for airlines. The fuel used in commercial planes, including Airbus and Boeing aircraft, has seen this increase due to these geopolitical circumstances.

Reports show that since March 1, the price of fuel for passenger aircraft has risen to Rs. 200 per liter, up from Rs. 188 per liter at the start of the month. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has disrupted jet fuel supply, resulting in a sharp and significant price hike.
