Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Increasing air pollution in India’s city of Mumbai has added to the worries of residents, while renowned actress Deepika Padukone has also expressed serious concern over the situation and demanded immediate action from authorities.
On Thursday morning, a thick layer of smog and pollution covered various areas of Mumbai, making the atmosphere feel heavy and causing breathing difficulties for residents. The smog engulfed several parts of the city, reducing visibility and raising health concerns among the public.
Actress Deepika Padukone shared a picture of the smog-covered city on social media, tagging the municipal authorities and the health department. She wrote that the city and its children are suffocating and questioned how this issue would be resolved.
Meanwhile, citizens say that the air pollution situation in Mumbai has been worsening continuously since February, raising fears of increasing health problems.
Indian actress Richa Chadha also described the polluted air as a man-made disaster and said that the public should raise their voices more strongly about the issue.
It is worth mentioning that Deepika Padukone will soon appear alongside Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming film King, which is scheduled to be released in December 2026.
