Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Following the Prime Minister’s rejection of the summary proposing an increase in petroleum product prices, the Petroleum Division has issued an official notification.
According to details, under the Prime Minister’s decision, orders were issued to maintain the prices of petrol and diesel, after which the relevant authorities released a formal notification to implement the decision.
The notification states that for the upcoming week, the price of high-speed diesel will remain at 335 rupees and 86 paisas per litre, while petrol will stay at 321 rupees and 17 paisas per litre.
It has further been stated that the government will bear the cost of the price differential and absorb the financial impact of increases in the international market to protect the public from further inflation.
