Lahore (Commerce Desk): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of direct flight operations to London after a six-year hiatus. According to a PIA spokesperson, three weekly flights will operate from Islamabad and one from Lahore using Boeing 777 aircraft.
PIA flights will land at Terminal 4 of Heathrow Airport. Services from Islamabad will commence on March 29, and from Lahore on March 30, initially operating four weekly flights to London.
The spokesperson added that London has always been one of PIA’s key international routes, with a history of over 70 years. After the resumption, PIA will operate seven weekly flights to the UK. Prior to the 2020 restrictions, PIA ran ten weekly flights from Pakistan to London, and flight frequency to London will gradually increase.
