Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar): A major development has emerged on the financial front as friendly countries have assured more than $5 billion in assistance to Pakistan.
According to sources, after arranging funds through alternative means, the government has decided to repay $2 billion to the United Arab Emirates. Overall, payments of around $5 billion are required by June.
Officials stated that necessary arrangements for these payments have been completed, while a total of approximately $3.5 billion will also be paid to the United Arab Emirates through various financial channels.
It was further revealed that a major Eurobond has matured, and over $1 billion related to it will be paid within this week.
Experts believe that this development may provide temporary stability to the country’s financial situation, but a comprehensive economic strategy remains essential for long-term improvement.
