Washington (Monitoring Desk): After being postponed due to the ongoing conflict with Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced new dates for his visit to China.
In a statement on Truth Social, President Trump said he will visit Beijing on May 14–15 and will later invite Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington for a reciprocal visit.
President Trump added that U.S. officials are finalizing preparations for the historic trip, and he is excited to spend time with President Xi, describing the visit as a remarkable and memorable opportunity.
China’s embassy commented that no additional information is available, as Beijing typically does not release President Xi Jinping’s schedule more than a few days in advance.
Experts suggest that this visit could open new avenues in U.S.-China relations and is expected to have significant political and economic implications globally.
