Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Pakistani singer Hasan Jahangir has opened up about a major tragedy in his personal life, revealing that after the death of his wife he dedicated his entire life to raising his daughter.
Hasan Jahangir began his musical career in 1986 and, nearly four decades later, he remains active and popular in the music industry. Known for his rock-star style and cheerful personality, he has generally kept his private life away from the public eye.
A few years ago, pictures from his daughter’s wedding surfaced on social media, in which she looked beautiful and Hasan Jahangir was also seen with her on the occasion.
Recently, he appeared as a guest on a Ramadan transmission of a private TV channel, where he spoke for the first time about a difficult period in his life.
The singer said he has only one daughter, who means everything to him. He revealed that around 27 to 28 years ago, his wife passed away, and at that time their daughter was very young.
According to Hasan Jahangir, after his wife’s death he focused all his attention on raising his daughter and decided not to remarry. He further shared that his daughter is now married and lives in Sweden, where she works as a doctor.
He also mentioned that his mother and sisters fully supported him in raising his daughter, while his daughter now wishes that he should remarry so that he does not have to live alone.
