Lahore (Sports Desk) – Alex Davies has unexpectedly resigned from his role as captain of the English county cricket team Yorkshire. He has been succeeded by Adil Burnard, who will lead the team in all three formats.
The 31-year-old Davies was appointed captain ahead of the 2024 season and had an outstanding performance in his first season as captain, scoring 1,115 runs at an average of 50.68, including four centuries.
Alex Davies said that leading the team had been one of the proudest moments of his career. He added that being part of building a trophy-winning squad and contributing to its development was a true honor.
